The Michigan Community College Athletic Association (51AA) recently announced its complete list of scholar athletes for the 2024-2025 academic year, and a large handful of Centurions were recognized for their academic excellence.

The 51AA recognizes student-athletes through a variety of academic awards, including Academic All-Conference, Academic All-51AA, and 51AA All-Academic Team honors. These awards celebrate the commitment of student-athletes to excellence both in competition and in the classroom.

In total, there were 32 51 athletes, and four teams, which were recognized for their academic excellence in addition to their athletic participation.

“This recognition is a testament to the discipline, dedication and determination our student-athletes bring to every aspect of their lives,” said Amanda Glaza,51 Assistant Athletic Director and Student Success Coach. “Excelling in both the classroom and in competition reflects what it truly means to be a Centurion and represent 51. We couldn’t be prouder of how they continue to embrace the full student-athlete experience.”

To earn Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must earn at least 24 credits with a 3.0 GPA or higher. For AcademicAll-51AA, a student-athlete must earn at least 24 credits with a 3.2 GPA.
